Roaming Man’s Second Edition started with the same mash bill as the edition one but was barreled in barrels that had a Char 4 and were aged 27 months. The three barrels from Edition Two were dumped on June 23, 2017 and yielded 601 bottles.
This gas chromatograph is an analytical look at the separate congeners, or compounds, in your Roaming Man Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey Second Edition, before and after aging. As evident in this graph, the effect of aging and the addition of extractives from the barrel creates many new congeners. This gives your whiskey its complexity, distinct flavor, and texture. This is your whiskey’s scientific “fingerprint.”
Roaming Man is bottled at “cask strength,” indicating it was transferred directly from barrel to bottle without the addition of water. “Straight” means there are no additives, or flavoring which are often included. Rye grain is responsible for the intense spice, creating this remarkably bold spirit.
It’s what’s inside that matters most. Now… sip wisely.
