March – Master Distiller
The first season of Moonshiners: Master Distiller Season 1 aired on Discovery Channel in March of 2020. Each week three of America’s top distillers go head-to-head creating unique spirits and battling for the title of Master Distiller. The series of challenges focused on making a specific type of spirit, including American whiskey, rum, gin, mountain brandy, and mezcal among others.
Hosted by Mark Ramsey, ‘Digger’ Manes, and Tim Smith, Sugarlands was excited to welcome these legendary shiners along with newcomers into our distillery in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee. You can watch the episodes on DISCOVERY GO!, so we won’t give away the winners.
You can look forward to purchasing the winning spirits at our downtown Gatlinburg distillery in 2021. Be sure to tune in to season 2 of Moonshiners: Master Distiller on Discovery Channel premiering on Tuesday, December 29th at 9 p.m. EST right after the new episode of Moonshiners!
March – Sippin’ Sessions Live
As the world shut down, we searched for a way to connect with YOU! Sippin’ Sessions Live was created as a way to engage and connect our fans with our celebrity partners such as Mark & Digger, Cole Swindell, and Chipper Jones, as well as introduce you to new faces such as country artists Niko Moon, Hannah Dasher, and Justin Biltonen.
We held virtual meet & greets, answered fan questions, sang together, cooked, and of course, mixed up a cocktail or two! We enjoyed spending this time with everyone, but we’re looking forward to hanging out with y’all at races, ball games, and at our downtown Gatlinburg distillery in 2021. May – Banana Pudding Sippin’ Cream
In May, we launched the newest Appalachian Sippin’ Cream – Banana Pudding. This new spirit quickly became a fan-favorite!
Our Banana Pudding Sippin’ Cream honors a classic southern dessert bursting with flavors of banana, vanilla wafers, whipped cream, and sweet pudding. This cream liqueur offers a deep, rich taste paired with an ultra-smooth finish sure to satisfy the banana-lover in everyone.
Banana Pudding Sippin’ Cream went on to win DOUBLE GOLD at the 2020 San Diego Spirits Festival International Competition. If you haven’t tried this new flavor yet, what are you waiting for?
June – Chipper Jones Sweet Tea Moonshine
In June, we announced a new celebrity partnership with one of baseball’s all-time great players, Chipper Jones, and Chipper Jones’ Sweet Tea Moonshine hit shelves in Summer 2020.

Jones enjoys being a husband, father, baseball advisor, game analyst, and co-host of his television show, Major League Bowhunting. Now, the “Hall of Famer” can add another accomplishment to his resume, launching his own Sugarlands moonshine product.

October – Roaming Man 10th Edition
Roaming Man Edition 10 pre-sale began in October! Like all editions released in the past, it sold out the day of its release.
Roaming Man Edition 10 was barrel-aged for three years and six months in 53-Gallon American white oak barrels with staves 24 months air-dried. This unaged rye whiskey went into barrels on January 16, 2017, at an average entry proof of 115.1°. Roaming Man brought home these awards in 2020:

September – Atlanta Braves
After announcing our new partnership with Chipper Jones, it was a no-brainer to partner with the Atlanta Braves.
As part of this partnership, Truist Park will be the new home for Sugarlands Distilling Company at Chipper’s Corner, a lounge for fans to enjoy a cocktail and refreshments behind third base, where Chipper made history for the Braves. In addition to the lounge, Sugarlands will have a significant presence throughout Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. This will include a branded mobile cart that serves signature seasonal cocktails, on-site game-day activations, being a presenting sponsor of an Atlanta Braves home series, and other engagement opportunities that will extend beyond the sport of baseball. 2020 Moonshare – Honoring America’s Heroes
When we first opened our doors, we knew setting up a way to give back to our community, as well as others who go above and beyond for their communities was important to us. Thus, MoonShare was created!
Moonshare is the give-back program of SDC that helps nonprofit organizations positively influence their communities through grants, fundraisers, and donations. Through this year’s Honoring America’s Heroes campaign, we’ve been able to support amazing organizations across the country that work diligently to support our military, veterans, police officers, and first responders.
